There are many complex issues regarding the design & application, commissioning & fine tuning of these systems which need to be considered in order to achieve optimum performance & energy efficiency.
The published COP data is based on factory environmental chamber ideal operating conditions, however no site installed system will achieve the published COP unless it is applied, commissioned & fine tuned correctly.
For fine tuning & evaluating energy efficiency it is important to monitor the system operation & then evaluate the performance.
For City Multi equipment a lap top computer can be left on site for a number of days & this records all the system operating data. The raw data can then be reviewed & converted into graphs.
Temperature & humidity data loggers can also deployed throughout the occupied space to monitor the actual room conditions over a number of days.
The recorded room temperature & humidity data can be evaluated & therefore an overall record of the system operation & actual room conditions can then be examined.
The data will often reveal opertunities to make adjustments to the control & operation of the systems to improve efficiency.
Appropriate supply air volume for ducted indoor units is often an area which requires some fine tuning to achieve optimum air circulation.
Tim has a number of air velocity & volume animometer meters & manometer meter for accurate measurements together with laser tachometer for exact fan shaft speed rpm measurment. This enables the supply air volume & velocity to be fine tuned for improved results.
